Current Season:

The Comedy Company by Neil Grahn (A World Premiere)

What’s So Funny about Mud, Death and Machine Gun Fire?

October 24th to November 11th 2018

A fictional recounting of an absolutely true story!

An extraordinary true Canadian story of the members of the Princess Patricia's Light Infantry Division. Company members were asked by their commander to put together a comedy/musical revue to entertain the troops to boost morale. During some of the most difficult fighting of the war they would conceive, write and perform comedy sketches and musical parodies to lift the spirits of the soldiers. With the help of surprisingly realistic comedy scenes and startlingly pretty cross-dressing performances they become wildly popular. What inspires comedy and light entertainment when you are surrounded by death?

In commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the end of World War 1

Miss Teen by Michele Riml (World Premiere)

January 23rd to February 10th 2019

From the author of Sexy Laundry:

When her awkward daughter inexplicitly wins the local Miss Teen Pageant, a struggling single mother seizes the opportunity to improve her family’s difficult circumstances. Determined to help her daughter succeed, she resorts to increasingly desperate measures, even as the glare from the spotlight threatens to expose her eccentric methods and tear the family apart.

Miss Teen is a funny, tender play about class, success and the bonds of family.

Lungs by Duncan Macmillian

March 13th to 31st 2019

The world is getting hotter, there’s unrest overseas—the seas themselves aren’t very calm—and one couple is thinking about having a child. LUNGS is a smart and funny drama that follows a couple through the surprising lifecycle of their relationship as they grapple with questions of family and change, hope, betrayal, happenstance, and the terrible pain that you can only cause the people you love.

“Duncan Macmillan’s distinctive, off-kilter love story is brutally honest, funny, edgy and current” – The Guardian (UK)

Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike by Christopher Durang

May 1st to 19th

Winner of the Tony Award for Outstanding New Play 2013

Middle-aged siblings Vanya and Sonia bicker and pine about the dashed dreams and squandered hopes of their lives in the sunny Morning Room of the family farmhouse in Bucks County, PA. When their movie-star sister, Masha, suddenly swoops in with her new boy-toy, Spike, old resentments flare up, eventually leading to threats to sell the house. Joined on the scene by their prophetic housekeeper Cassandra, and a dewy aspiring actress named Nina - whose youthful prettiness troubles Masha’s precariously propped-up vanity – they prepare to attend a neighbor’s costume party and the stage is set for a giddy farce on Chekhovian themes.

“deliriously funny…a heedless good time." —NY Times.
