Saskatchewan Playwrights Centre

Art that matters; content that is vital and current

PACT Membership: Affiliate Membership

PACT Region: 3 – Saskatchewan and Manitoba

We cultivate a theatre community that is alive with diverse voices, inspired ideas and powerful stories.

Saskatchewan Playwrights’ Centre works collaboratively with artists to create innovative theatre and performance works that align with our areas of interest in content and/or form.

As a deeply-rooted Saskatchewan organization, we explore the issues that divide us and bring us together – social justice, the environment, racial relations and the urban/rural divide.   This also means better supporting under-served or marginalized communities, particularly women, Indigenous, and the LBGTQ+ and disabled communities.

We support dance theatre, immersive theatre, multi-media performance, devised work, and site-specific pieces.

Art that matters; content that is vital and current.
