Welcome to our 2018-2019 Season at Cahoots!
It is so gratifying to bring two impactful and inspiring works to their full life in our 2018-19 season. The powerful music and characters of I CALL MYSELF PRINCESS made a lasting impression when Jani Lauzon first introduced them to Cahoots in our Hot House Creators’ Unit. So, too, did Franco Nguyen’s heartfelt storytelling, in the first iteration of GOOD MORNING, VIET MOM at the Toronto Fringe Festival. In development, this year we will foster incisive works that refocus the spotlight, focusing it on artists and stories from the edge. We’ll close the season with what is sure to be a memorable reading of Marjorie Chan’s THE MADNESS OF THE SQUARE, in recognition of the 30th anniversary of the massacre in Tiananmen Square. We are proud to share these works with you and are confident they will stay with you for years to come.
